Alhambra Tickets Sold Out: What to Do and Your Alternatives
Can't find Alhambra tickets for your preferred dates? Before changing your plans, check which options are still available, set up an alert in case more places become available, and explore alternatives that include admission.

Quick answer
A date showing as sold out doesn't necessarily mean you have to give up on visiting the Alhambra. First, check which ticket types and time slots are fully booked, try other dates if you're flexible, and look for guided tours that include admission.
If your dates are fixed, the most important thing is to find an option you can actually book that includes the areas you really want to see. It's worth prioritising the available options rather than relying solely on more tickets being released.
What's your situation?
Prioritise options you can confirm
If you can only visit the Alhambra on one specific day, don't base your plans on the hope that new tickets will become available. Check all the options available for that date, including guided tours with admission, and make sure there are places for everyone travelling with you.
At NHUE, we have a "Notify me" feature. If there's currently no availability, activate the alert and you'll be notified if places open up.
Check your entire stay before ruling it out
Check availability throughout your stay and compare different days and times.
If you find an option that includes the areas you want to explore, confirm your Alhambra visit first and plan the rest of your trip around that booking.
Being flexible by just one or two days can make a big difference during busy periods.
Check availability before heading there
Check the available options for today and the remaining days of your stay in Granada. Also check the meeting time, any specific admission time for the Nasrid Palaces and how long it will take you to get there.
If you can't find any places, review the different available options before heading to the monument. Don't assume you'll be able to buy a ticket when you arrive.

Does sold out mean you can no longer visit the Alhambra?
Not necessarily.
When a date shows as sold out, one of the most common mistakes is assuming there’s no longer any way to visit the Alhambra. Availability can vary depending on the day, time slot and type of visit, and tickets sometimes become available again.
So, before rearranging your entire trip, it’s worth checking which options you can book for your dates.
If you’re only spending one day in Granada, your approach should be different from someone who has several days to spare. And if visiting the Alhambra is one of your travel priorities, the sooner you can confirm an option, the better.
At NHUE, we organise Alhambra tours throughout the year, and we know how quickly availability can change, especially during busy periods. That’s why we’ve put together several ways to help you avoid missing out on your visit.

Not all ways of visiting the Alhambra have the same availability
Availability is not always the same for every type of visit.
If a tour is available on our website, we can confirm both your place in the group and admission included with that tour. These places are also limited and can sell out quickly, especially during periods of high demand.
If you'd prefer a guided tour, compare the options to find the one that suits you best.

Check Availability →No availability for your date? We'll let you know if places open up.
At NHUE, we've created a feature with travellers like you in mind.
If the tour you're interested in is sold out, select your preferred date and time.
When the "Notify me" option is available, you can leave your details to request an alert.
If places become available again for that tour, we'll send you a message so you can check availability and book.
Important The notification doesn't reserve a place or guarantee that it will still be available when you open it. When availability opens up again, places may sell out quickly, so we recommend checking the alert as soon as you receive it.
What to check before deciding
Check these five things before booking
1. Which areas are included
If you want to visit the Nasrid Palaces, make sure they’re explicitly included in your booking.
2. Date and time
Check both the tour’s start time and any specific admission time stated in your booking.
3. Number of visitors
Make sure there’s availability for everyone travelling with you.
4. Type of visit
Check whether you’re booking admission only or a guided tour, as well as the language, duration and group size.
5. Price and conditions
Review the total price and the change and cancellation conditions before confirming.

Can last-minute tickets become available?
Yes. Availability can change, and a date that appears sold out at one point may show available places later.
However, that doesn’t mean you should plan your trip assuming this will happen.
If you’re spending several days in Granada, you can check different dates and times again. If you only have one specific day available, it’s wiser to try to confirm an available option and use notifications as a backup if there are no places left.
Is an Alhambra guided tour worth it?
If you simply want to explore the monument at your own pace, a self-guided visit may be enough.
But if it’s your first time, a guided tour adds something that’s difficult to get on your own: context, history and a much deeper understanding of each area.
And when individual tickets are sold out, a guided tour with admission included can also help you overcome the availability problem and keep your visit in your travel plans.

Can you visit the Alhambra without entering the Nasrid Palaces?
Yes. The Alhambra is a much larger monumental complex, and there are itineraries that allow you to explore other areas.
However, for a first visit, we’d recommend trying to find an option that includes the Nasrid Palaces. They’re one of the most important parts of the complex and contain some of its most recognisable spaces, such as the Court of the Lions.
That’s why, when comparing tickets or guided tours, don’t just look for the word “Alhambra”: check exactly which areas are included.

Your remaining questions answered
Clear answers to help you plan your visit.
Do all Alhambra tickets include the Nasrid Palaces?
No. Some ticket types allow you to visit other parts of the complex without entering the Nasrid Palaces. If you want to see them, make sure they're explicitly listed among the included areas before booking.
Why might a guided tour be available when I can't find individual tickets?
Availability depends on the type of visit, the date and when you check. That's why it's worth checking the calendar for guided tours with admission included.
At NHUE, we check availability to offer tours when places are available, but we can't guarantee admission on every date.
Can I buy admission-only tickets through NHUE?
No. The options shown on this page are guided tours with admission included.
If you'd prefer to visit the Alhambra independently, check the available ticket types directly through the Patronato's official ticketing service.
Does requesting an availability notification count as a reservation?
No. The notification simply lets you know if availability opens up again for your selected tour.
To secure your place, you'll need to complete the booking while availability remains.
Is it worth visiting the Alhambra without the Nasrid Palaces?
It can be a good alternative if you want to discover other parts of the complex and have time to include them in your itinerary.
However, if the Nasrid Palaces are one of your travel priorities, a ticket that doesn't include them won't offer the same experience. Decide based on what you most want to see.
