Park Güell was initially conceived as a garden city. The aristocrat Güell commissioned Antoni Gaudí to design it. The plan envisioned luxury homes surrounded by extensive gardens. This idea was quickly abandoned, and the park remained as it was in its beginnings, with only two houses. One of them, now the Gaudí Museum, was where the architect lived for a time.
